Social initiatives in Global Group have taken commendable shape over the years.
Global Foundation , the Corporate Social Responsibility wing of Global Group Enterprise
continue it's commitment towards improving the quality of life of our workforce
and their families, physically challenged individuals; the local community and society
at large. With a clear agenda and unlimited enthusiasm, the GTL management carries
out its social program in a very consistent and efficient manner through Global
Foundation a Public Charitable Trust, singularly focused on project selection, execution
and monitoring. Global Foundation has implemented several noteworthy projects in
areas of health, disability, education and women empowerment. To channelise Global
Group's social commitments Global Foundation came into existence in 2004 when it
was registered under The Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. Global Foundation is covered
under Income Tax Exemption under section 80G of I.T. Act 1961 as per ITO Order No.
DIT (E) MC/ 80 –G/ 1976 / 2009-10 dtd. 5th Oct, 09. Continued to be valid vide I.T.
Circular No: 7/ 2010 [F. No: 197/ 21 /2010-ITA-I ] Dtd: 27-10-2010. PAN No. AAA
TG 7158 F. A committee of Trustees, drawn from various fields runs the Foundation.
In addition there is an Advisory Committee comprises of top management people from
Global Group. Global Group Chairman is the Life Trustee of the Foundation. The Committee
ensures that the objectives of the trust as listed in the trust deed are achieved.
